What is the MRT test ?

The MRT – Mediator Release Test – is an innovative method of detecting food hypersensitivity states as well as defining the reaction level of white blood cells to particular foods. If no disorders occur, it means that the reaction of the organism is nonaggressive, which isfood tolerance. However, when health problems appear, there is an excessive defensive response – an inflammatory reaction of the immune system. In such situations, food tolerance is replaced by an aggressive defense and the cells of the immune system release inflammatory state mediators, the chronic inflammatory condition is exacerbated and attacks of pain result whose origin is difficult to diagnose. The solution is to perform an MRT test. The examination is carried out via the flow cytometry technique coupled with the refined Coulter method. The high effectiveness of the MRT test in diagnosing food hypersensitivity has been confirmed by the results of oral provocation tests, skin tests, and an elimination diet. The test can be performed in the Diagnostic Laboratory ISO-LAB.

What is food hypersensitivity?

Significant impact on various chronic ailments (e.g. bronchial asthma, spastic colon, reflux, migraine and other head pain, body weight fluctuation, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, skin eruptions, atopic dermatitis, autism, ADHD) can result from delayed hypersensitivity reactions (DHT – Delayed Type Hypersensitivity) to the elements of a diet, namely food hypersensitivity. A model allergic reaction occurs with the exclusive participation of immunoglobulin type E, which belongs to the antibodies of the immune system, as well as with the release of histamine or histamine-like substances from impaired cells. It was discovered that the mechanisms dependent on these immunoglobulin (IgE) do not tie many reactions directly to what we consume. Food hypersensitivity then refers to the condition when what you  eat increasingly stimulates the cells of the immune system to defense, inflammatory condition mediators release themselves, and a chronic inflammatory condition is exacerbated. Mediators – why?

Development of a technique to objectively measure the volume changes contributed to creating the MRT test.
